A large wing with a strong curved airfoil would be an ideal feature for an aircraft when landing but an obstacle when it comes to flying at faster speeds. To increase the area of the wing the trainling edge of aircraft wings are equipped with flaps. The challenge the BRIDGE Aero partners have set out to solve is the optimization of four flap positions of a commercial aircraft wing.
