BRIDGE aims at demonstrating the benefits of Grid technology for international cooperation, in particular between Europe and China. BRIDGE develops an interoperability interface between heterogeneous infrastructures based in Europe (GRlA) and in China (GOS). It allows in particular the execution of distributed workflows and access to distributed data repositories. Remote access to specific analysis services will allow their controlled usage for product and process development.
BRIDGE will develop an interoperability interface between the CNGrid and  SIMDAT infrastructure (both have been major ongoing projects in China and Europe, respectively).
Three application scenarios will be used to demonstrate co-operative design, simulation and data access between European and Chinese partners:

GRIA => Grid Resources for Industrial Applications - GRIA is a service-oriented infrastructure (SOI) designed to support B2B collaborations through service provision across organisational boundaries in a secure, interoperable and flexible manner.
CN GOS => Chinese Grid Operating System - GOS is a Grid software aiming at making Grid easy to use. It integrates file management, batch job schedule and job accounting functions on a Web-based portal, and enables users to integrate their own web application to Grid portal.
BRIDGE provides access to services for workflows using both platforms.
